PRESS RELEASE – January 31, 2017
Bring your walking shoes as we tour the High School and talk to teachers and students about the many opportunities available at the High School. This is a great opportunity for students of all ages to see what we offer.
Fluvanna County High School will welcome the community for the Second Annual CTE Open House Night. Participants have the opportunity to meet with CTE teachers, visit classrooms, ask questions, and see the state of the art equipment that students use in these programs. Students will conduct tours for participants sharing information about the courses offered, industry credentials, and respond to questions related to “R U College and Career Ready?” The CTE programs highlighted include: Health and Medical Sciences, Cosmetology and Barbering, Agriculture, Carpentry, TV Production, Engineering, Computer Science, Business and Information Systems, Culinary Arts, Teacher Cadet, and Marketing.
The event will be held on Thursday, February 9 at 5:30 p.m. beginning in the High School auditorium. Tours will last until 7:45 p.m. At the end of the evening, pizza will be served to participants and there will be a drawing for prizes. Prizes will include items made by students in our CTE programs, certificates for Fluco Gear, and 4 Asus tablets.
