Fluvanna Support Staff of the Year 2017- Wanda Morris

Fluvanna County Public Schools is pleased to announce Ms. Wanda Morris has been named 2016-17 Division Support Staff Member of the Year. She was chosen for this honor by a committee of administrators and staff who considered nominees from each school site.

Ms. Morris was recognized by the School Board at its May 10 meeting. This is the third year that Fluvanna County Public Schools has recognized “Support Staff Members of the Year.”

Ms. Morris has been with Fluvanna County Public Schools since 1995. During her tenure with Fluvanna County Public Schools she has worked as an instructional assistant and a school secretary.

She is described as being the epitome of dedicated and tireless staff member. She is relentlessly committed to the students and staff. She is the “Fall Festival,” she works diligently to ensure that this event is successful. Her positive attitude and bubbly personality are infectious to both students and staff!

Wanda is married to Steve Morris, they are parents to Steven Morris, Jr. and Shawn Morris. They have two grandsons and a granddaughter on the way.

The School Board also recognized the four other school-level nominees for 2016-17 Support Staff of the Year:
West Central Primary – Mary Rigney, Kindergarten Instructional Assistant
Carysbrook Elementary School- Jessica Farmer, Special Education Instructional Assistant
Fluvanna Middle School – Katie Cabrera, Instructional Assistant
Fluvanna County High School- Patricia Lane, Instructional Assistant

2015- Ms. Ruby Smith, Central Elementary School
