Rebecca Smith, Assistant Principal at Fluvanna Middle School

Rebecca Smith has been named Assistant Principal of Fluvanna Middle School. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Eastern Mennonite University. Mrs. Smith has held diverse roles as an educator in both public and private arenas.

During her tenure in Fluvanna, she has held various positions including teacher, department chair, mentor for new and pre-service teachers, athletic coach, administrative intern, grant writer, bilingual workshop trainer, and interpreter.

Mrs. Smith has seventeen years of experience in education. She began teaching in 1998 in Madison County Public Schools. She has been with Fluvanna County Public Schools for a combined period of twelve years serving as a High School Spanish teacher and a middle school foreign language exploratory teacher. She is married to Mr. Tre’ Smith (AKA Coach Smith) who is also an educator. The couple resides in Fluvanna County and they have two sons both of whom are enrolled in the Fluvanna County Public Schools.
