On March 22, 2022, the Flying Flucos brought home another title as the Medford Basketball team won the Medford tournament. Over the course of three months, the Medford League Basketball Team went undefeated, finishing 6-0 in the regular season against local schools Orange County, Eastern View, Goochland, Culpeper, William Monroe, and Madison High School.
After missing out on their last season, the team and their coaches were thrilled to get back on the court. Orange County High School hosted the tournament, packing the stands with students, teachers, parents, and even their pep band brought the roar and excitement that filled the gymnasium. The tournament was an incredible opportunity for students of all abilities to be included, make new friends from other counties, and to show off their basketball and sportsmanship skills. Congratulations to the Fluvanna County High School Medford League Basketball Champions!
