Instructions for Registering a New 1st-12th Grade Student for the Upcoming 2024-2025 School Year

Please note: These instructions are for registering a new 1st-12th grade student for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. 

2024-2025 New Student Registration for Grades 1st-12th

• A valid parent/guardian email address is required to register online.  If you do not currently have an email address, you can create one for free at https://www.google.com/.
• After submission please schedule an appointment to meet with your school’s registrar to complete the registration process. The following documentation must be provided:
  1. Original birth certificate must be brought to school
  2. Two (2) proofs of residency such as a utility bill, tax bill, driver’s license, lease, vehicle registration
  3. Recent physical and immunization records

Instructions for Registering a New Kindergartener for the Upcoming 2024-2025 School Year

Please note that these instructions are only for registering your 2024-2025 Kindergartener. Your child must be age 5 by September 30th, 2024 to be eligible for enrollment in the 2024-2025 school year. 

Parents are encouraged to complete the registration online and provide the supporting documents to the school. School hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m to 3:30 p.m.  If assistance is needed in regards to registration, please contact the school registrar at 434-510-1006 or email at aharlow@apps.fluco.org

Kindergarten Registration Requirements:

1. A valid parent/guardian email address is required to register online.  If you do not currently have an email address, you can create one for free at https://www.google.com/.
2. After submission please schedule an appointment to meet with Central Elementary registrar Abigail Harlow to complete the registration process and to schedule your child’s kindergarten screening. The following documentation must be provided:
   • Original birth certificate must be brought to school
     • A copy or scan of the original birth certificate cannot be accepted.
   • Two (2) proofs of residency such as a utility bill, tax bill, driver’s license, lease, vehicle registration
   • Virginia School Entrance Health Form which includes your child’s physical and immunization records. The Physical documentation must be dated August 1, 2023 or later
3. Register Online
   • A New Student Registration form must be submitted for each student in your family.

Instructions for Registering a NEW PK STUDENT for the 2024-25 School Year

Please note that these instructions are for a new Pre-Kindergarten student registering for the 2024-2025 school year.

Children must be 4 years old by Sept. 30, 2024 to be eligible for Pre-K screening.  The program provides early intervention through a high quality 4 year old program that promotes social, emotional, and academic development. FCPS Pre-K program has an educational partnership and combined application with Head Start.  Space is limited for the 2023-2024 school year and the priority application deadline is April 1, 2024.
