PRESS RELEASE – February 22, 2019

The month of January, our students were buzzing with excitement with the annual National Geographic Bee competition.

The National Geographic Bee competition, which is now in its 31st year, was held in grades fourth through eighth to determine each school champion. School champions then took a qualifying test, which they submitted to the National Geographic Society, to determine eligibility to participate in the State Geographic Bee. The following students were named school champions for Fluvanna County Public Schools: Carysbrook 1st Place – 4th grade student Zander Childers, Fluvanna Middle School 1st Place – 5th grade student Andrew Jamison, and Fluvanna County High School 1st place – Autumn Moore.
