AP Psychology Textbook Available for Review

PRESS RELEASE – June 12, 2024

At its regular meeting on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, the Fluvanna County School Board will consider adoption of the textbook committee’s recommendation for a textbook for AP Psychology.

The books reviewed included:

  1. Cacioppo, John T. and Laura A. Freberg. Discovering Psychology: The Science of Mind. 3rd edition. 2019. Boston: Cengage Learning.
  2. Myers, David G. and Nathan DeWall. Exploring Psychology. 11th edition. 2019. New York: Worth.
  3. Myers, David G. and Nathan DeWall. Psychology. 12th edition. 2018. New York: Worth.
  4. Myers, David G. and Nathan DeWall. Myers’ Psychology for AP Course. 3rd edition. 2018. New York: Worth.
  5. Schacter, Daniel, Daniel Gilbert, Daniel Wegner, and Matthew K. Nock. Psychology. 5th edition. 2020. New York: Worth.

The committee is recommending the adoption of Myers’ Psychology for AP Course 3rd Edition.

The resources will be available for public review from Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
