Fluvanna County Public Schools (FCPS) will reopen on August 17, 2020. Our goal is to safely provide in-person instruction to the greatest extent possible, give parents a virtual option, and to be prepared to go fully virtual as a district should the need arise.

FCPS K-12 students and families will be able to choose between two options for the start of the 2020-2021 school year:

Option 1: The hybrid instructional model is a combination of in-person and at-home learning. As of now, this will be the only option for Pre-K students.  Students will be assigned to one of two groups.  Students on the A schedule will attend in-person on Mondays and Tuesdays.  Students on the B schedule will attend in-person on Thursdays and Fridays.  All students will have remote learning activities on the days they are at home.  (The schedule is a change from the original plan.)

Option 2: The virtual instruction model in which students will participate in virtual-only learning with instruction and materials provided by FCPS staff.

It is our goal that this Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document provides you with additional information about our plans.  Please understand these may change as we receive additional questions, information, and guidance.

The intent form submission date has been extended to July 23, 2020. Please use the links below to access the FCPS Parent Intent Form to select a learning option for each student in your household.
