PRESS RELEASE – February 12, 2024

Fluvanna County Public Schools hosted the division’s annual spelling bee on February 6, 2024 at Fluvanna Middle School’s library. Showcasing the talent and dedication of students across the district, the event brought together more than 30 students from grades 3 to 8 to show off their spelling skills.

After seven rounds of intense competition, eighth grader Daishin Boyd claimed the title of Champion by correctly spelling the word “leaflet.” Sixth grader William Dusenberry and seventh grader Brayden Maupin were runners-up in the competition.
