PRESS RELEASE – March 18, 2024
On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, the Fluvanna County School Board adopted a school calendar for the 2024-2025 school year. The school calendar was developed with input from parents and school staff.
The key elements of the 2024-2025 calendar are:
- August 12, 2024, is Open House for PreK-12th grade families from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a dinner break from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- August 14, 2024, is the first day for students.
- August 14-15, 2024, is a staggered start for PreK-Kindergarten students.
- December 19, 2024, is an early dismissal for students and the last day of the first semester.
- December 20, 2024 and January 6, 2025, are staff days.
- December 23, 2024 – January 3, 2025, is Winter Break for students.
- January 7, 2025, students return for second semester.
- March 31-April 4, 2025, is Spring Break for students.
- May 21, 2025, is the last day of school for students and early dismissal.
- May 23, 2025, is Fluvanna County High School Graduation at 6 p.m.
