Greetings FLUCO community!
Please take a few moments to complete this brief survey (https://forms.gle/BWSzcAB27qdvQiHr7) to provide your input on next year's school budget. Your feedback regarding what you'd like the school board to consider adding, eliminating, and/or adjusting in terms of the school division's financial plan is critical.
A summary of the responses to this survey will be presented to our board during its regular business meeting on November 13, 2024. The board will use this feedback as it develops its FY26 budget priorities. The survey is anonymous, but please feel free to identify yourself if you would like. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Dr. Peter M. Gretz, superintendent, at (434) 589-8208.

Today is Unity Day, when we remind ourselves and our community of the importance of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and we unite to prevent bullying.
Offer a kind hello to someone new
Do a favor or help someone you’ve never helped before
Help a classmate who could use some encouragement
Include someone new in a game or lunch today
Thank someone for being kind
Stop by the Unity Day table during lunch to visit with school counselors and get a free Unity Day gift.
Remember, all it takes are simple acts of kindness to make our community stronger, and you can take that step today . . . . right now.

Join us on October 24, 2024!

Remember, Unity Day is tomorrow. First, ADD SOME ORANGE TO YOUR HOCO TWIN DAY OUTFIT— let’s rally around kindness, acceptance, and inclusion tomorrow in a united effort to prevent bullying and to promote togetherness. During lunch, visit with your school counselors at the Unity Day table and pick up a free gift.

Next Wednesday, October 16, we will celebrate Unity Day by asking everyone to show support for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion in a united effort to prevent bullying. This is a celebration taking place nationwide. I want everyone to think about kind actions they can do for others, to include those who are feeling left out, and to accept people’s differences. On this Wednesday, October 16, ADD SOME OF THE COLOR ORANGE to your outfit and bump up your Twin Day wardrobe in support of Unity Day.

Don’t forget to order school pictures at shop.jostenspix.com. Be sure to include your event code: FE121524

Wednesday, October 16 is Unity Day, when we remind ourselves and our community of the importance of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and we unite to prevent bullying. WEAR ORANGE in support of Unity Day on Wednesday, October 16.
Combine your creativity with our Homecoming Theme of Twin Day and be doubly unified by dressing in the same orange styles as a friend.
On Unity Day, make an extra effort to:
Offer a kind hello to someone new
Do a favor or help someone you’ve never helped before
Help a classmate who could use some encouragement
Include someone new in a game or lunch today
Thank someone for being kind
Come up with your own idea for a kind gesture!
Stop by the Unity Day table during lunch to visit with school counselors and get a free Unity Day gift.
Remember, all it takes are simple acts of kindness to make our community stronger, and you can take that step today . . . . right now, and on Unity Day 2024.
